INDIVIDUAL REVOLUTION

Changing Ourselves

We often think that if circumstances changed – if we had a new job, moved to a better area or won the lotto, then our life would be different. We would be happier, more at ease with the world – and we could live a better life, be more generous and share our success with family and friends. Perhaps we would give more to charity and help those less fortunate than ourselves.

But what if we deserve the life that we live and experience on a daily basis? What if the external world reflects our inner condition – what if, as we say in the Delphi Project, ‘your being attracts your life’. What if we are secretly mean spirited and hateful? Arrogant and inconsiderate? Resentful and envious of others’ success? Might that have an effect on how the world treats us?

Surely this is a useful idea – because it means that how we are inside influences our life experiences. That means we can take responsibility for our attitudes and opinions and for how we behave with others. Taking responsibility for what happens means we can actually do something to change our world. But, rather then embarking on a campaign to tell everybody else what’s wrong with the world and how they should fix it, we can adopt a more practical and quietly intelligent approach. We can take a different path. We can work on the one thing which we can surely change – ourselves.

The Polarity Grid and The Change Cycle are tools to help with understanding ourselves and changing our world. Completing a Personal Polarity Assessment and exploring the resources on this web-site will offer a fresh perspective on the way we can improve our life and relations with others. For those of independent mind who like a challenge,  The Delphi Book is a powerful aid to creating this change. Someone encountering the book, reading it, and seeing it through to the end – even with many pauses and hesitations, doubts and recapitulations – will emerge changed.
